Goal

      To ensure Livestock & Fisheries security, poverty alleviation and to generate employment opportunities through achieving higher growth rate in this vital sector of the economy.

Objectives

1.   To ensure efficient delivery of services in the livestock sector in order to improve health,efficiency, and productivity of livestock with sustainable use of natural resources.
2.   To conserve, improve and develop local livestock breeds.
3.   To promote the production of safe and healthy food.
4.   To promote one health approach to minimize the incidence of zoonoses.
5.   Applied as well as basic research to improve health and production of animals
6.   Development of potent and effective vaccines against diseases
7.   Surveillance, diagnosis and control of diseases
8.   Development of new appropriate techniques and their transfer
9.   Development of Farm Fisheries both in public & private sector.
10. Conservation of Fisheries resources of the province.
11. Introduction of improved variety of exotic fishes.
12. Research on the ecologic studies of fishes.
13. Development of Fisheries Resources for promoting Tourism.
14. Provision of information and training to private sector for development of farm fisheries.
15. To inculcate the spirit of mutual cooperation amongst the masses for:
        a. Poverty alleviation
        b. Resource building
        c. Self sustainability

16. To rescue small farmers (Livestock & Fisheries) from the clutches.
17. To empower the marginalized sector of the society especially women in helping them in their small entrepreneurship
